Lens Technology & Features
Non-Polarized Lens: A standard light-filtering lens that helps reduce brightness for greater visual comfort, without a polarized filter to reduce glare reflected from surfaces such as water or metal.
Polarized Lens: Features a specialized polarized filter that helps reduce glare reflected from surfaces such as water and metal, providing clearer vision and greater visual comfort in bright or highly reflective environments.
OPz Lens: A next-generation Polarized lens designed to provide clear visibility when viewing Digital displays such as smartphones and smartwatches, without causing the screen to appear dark. Ideal for outdoor users and personnel using ATAK systems.
Photochromic Lens: An auto-adjusting lens that automatically changes its tint based on UV exposure, helping balance light levels across different environments and changing conditions.
MilSpec Lens / Ballistic Lens: A lens designed to meet U.S. military MilSpec standards, capable of protecting against high-velocity fragmentation at speeds of up to 725 feet per second (FPS). Ideal for high-risk applications such as military missions or environments where explosive hazards may be present.
For standard lenses, impact resistance is typically rated at approximately 300–400 FPS.
General Use: Non-Polarized or Polarized lenses are suitable for most everyday applications. If you frequently use Digital displays outdoors, OPz is the better choice.
High-Risk Environments: Choose MilSpec Lens for enhanced protection against high-velocity fragmentation during demanding operations.
