A Leading VR Training System for Law Enforcement Agencies

Operator XR delivers a distinctive, end-to-end Virtual Reality (VR) capability for law enforcement agencies. The system is portable, easy to operate, safe, and fully immersive and interactive, and works with the weapons and tools officers carry on duty.

Officers can engage and interact fully with simulated situations such as vehicle stops, crisis response, or an active shooter incident inside a school building

The OP-2 software platform is a key capability for raising public safety performance, using Virtual Reality to deliver realistic, highly engaging training.

OP-2 Software Features

Unlimited, Fully Customisable Training Scenarios

The OP-2 Scenario Creator Suite lets instructors design fully customisable, interactive training environments tailored to the specific needs of each agency

An Extensive Asset Library

Access a large asset library containing high-quality prebuilt scenes and more than 100 interactive objects, including vehicles, forensic evidence, cover points, and everyday items. These assets can be placed and adjusted within the scenarios you build yourself, adding realism and complexity to your training

Build VR Floor Plans in Minutes

Sketch unlimited building layouts with easy-to-use tools, reproducing real floor plans accurately, from simple structures through to complex sites, so trainees experience environments close to what they will meet on real operations

Real-Time Scenario Editing

Change scenarios instantly during a session. Adjust the environment in real time to increase the challenge for trainees and respond appropriately to training needs as they emerge

Advanced Role Players

Dynamic characters such as suspects, passers-by and crowds respond to commands and unfolding events in real time. Instructors can control these characters directly, or have a role player wear the Role Player Headset to act as a live suspect, challenging and developing officers' skills in verbal communication, de-escalation, and critical thinking under pressure

Effective After Action Review

Lets instructors analyse tactical execution, situational awareness, and use-of-force decision making in detail, with a replay function for reviewing each session. Movement, actions and decisions can be viewed from multiple perspectives, making debriefs and lessons learned thorough and effective. Access quantitative data on trainee performance, including response times, accuracy, communication effectiveness, and adherence to procedure and policy

Increased Force Options

OP-2 offers a wide range of training options, allowing officers to train as they would operate.
Tracking hardware can be fitted to service weapons so officers build familiarity with their own equipment. Safe operation using CO2 and XR tracking sensors.

• Operational AR15 platforms
• Glock, Sig, M&P and Staccato pistols are compatible with XR hardware

Use Cases

Active Shooter

Emergency response to an incident in progress

OP-2 can simulate active shooter environments in settings such as schools, workplaces or public venues, with unpredictable threats and uninvolved bystanders present at the scene.

Officers train rapid deployment, threat management, civilian protection, and coordination with other agencies. Simulated scenarios build readiness and improve response times across varied environments — factors that are decisive in a real incident.

Use of Force Decision Making

Train sound use-of-force decision making under realistic conditions

By simulating high-stress confrontations with unpredictable role players, the system helps police and military personnel practise accurate threat assessment, adherence to rules of engagement, and the application of force at an appropriate level.

De-escalation

Trainees can respond safely to NPCs displaying a wide range of behaviour, from non-compliance through to aggression.

By practising verbal communication, reading body language, and other de-escalation techniques within the system, officers learn how to defuse tense situations effectively, reducing the likelihood that force becomes necessary.

Crisis Intervention

Train for crisis intervention situations involving individuals under severe stress, experiencing mental health difficulties, or facing other crises.

Virtual environments require trainees to apply communication technique, empathy, and de-escalation strategy to resolve the situation peacefully.

NPCs react to the trainee's actions, creating a safe environment in which to practise and refine intervention tactics.

Hostage Rescue

Hostage rescue missions demand careful planning and flawless execution. OP-2 can generate complex scenarios in which trainees must locate and rescue hostages while managing active threats. Simulations include variables such as time constraints, multiple perpetrators, and the presence of civilians, making the exercise both realistic and demanding.

Teams develop critical skills in cooperation, coordination, concealment, and crisis management — the skills a successful hostage rescue depends on.

CQB

Rehearse Close Quarters Battle tactics in a highly realistic simulated environment.

Trainers can build complex floor plans and confined spaces, with After Action Review available from multiple perspectives, including military/police and civilian points of view (EN/FR/CIV POV).

Users can practise room clearance and last covered corner (LCC) technique, sharpening the coordination, communication, and split-second decision making that close quarters engagements require.
